Please bring a delicious snack to share with the school community ((For anything homemade PLEASE include an ingredient list or it cannot be served)) keeping in mind that there are allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, sesame and dairy at HPAS. We will continue to offer an allergy aware section of foods that will be guaranteed free from these ingredients, but ask that none of the snacks provided actually contain them. There will be pizza provided for lunch as well.

FAQ:'s
When does it start?
The day starts at approximately 9:30 am and runs until after lunch (around 2:00 pm) before the kids head back to school.
When does Play Day finish? Play Day finishes at around 2:00 pm or so. This is only an approximate time. However, Teachers will wait at the park until all scheduled pick-ups have taken place. Please call the school to let Marlene know if there has been a change in pick-up. Any students not scheduled to be picked up at the park will walk back to the school with their teachers. School will end at the regular dismissal time.
What is Play Day? Play Day is the annual end of year celebration at HPAS. It is a fun adventure for students, teachers, and families. All family members from the smallest to the tallest are invited. The kids are divided into all ages teams to compete in fun and silly games - Team lists will be sent by your class reps asap this week!
It is our hope that all parents/guardians can come but if you are not able to attend please notify your child’s teacher asap.
How much snack should I bring? We have a snack table and pizza lunch for the kids, and parents too- if there is enough food--the kids get pretty hungry by mid morning and even hungrier by lunch! Given that we are a TDSB HEALTHY SCHOOL and ALLERGY AWARE community and that there are students who suffer from life threatening allergies to peanuts, tree nuts, coconut, and sesame, we are asking you to keep this in mind when purchasing or making a snack to share. Home made items need to be accompanied by a list of ingredients.
What if I can’t come? Play Day is a parent run event. However, we know that some parents will not be able to attend. You are encouraged to send another family member in your place, after all, our school hinges on community! If no one from your family is available to attend please notify your child’s teacher. Your class trip will help arrange transportation, etc.
