Always wanted to try your hand at improv in a fun, positive environment? Join Bad Dog Theatre for a one-of-a-kind workshop!
The Arts Committee and School Council are very excited to offer this first annual Parent Improv evening AND Daytime workshop for our children at HPAS! We're using funds from the PRO grant to make this all possible.
Here's a bit on the benefits of improv as well as who Bad Dog is:
Our youth workshops emphasize story, listening, impulse work (being spontaneous!), teamwork, basic stagecraft, agreement, confidence and game play. We aim to build confidence, foster creativity and help young people give voice to their ideas, all in a supportive, nurturing and (above all) fun environment.
For over 30 years, our basic improv program for adults has helped people from all walks of life improve their confidence, their public speaking, and their creativity. Whether you’re trying to hone a creative edge or simply become more comfortable in front of new people, the Bad Dog Academy’s improv workshops are fun and supportive -- there’s never any pressure to do things you’re uncomfortable with.
Who are we?
The Bad Dog Theatre Company is the home of Theatresports Toronto, the city’s longest continuously running improv show! Our faculty – all working actors – have been nominees or winners of Geminis, Doras, and Canadian Comedy Awards.
